Recovery Dharma Roanoke

December 2 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Recovery Dharma is a peer-led movement and community that is unified by our
trust in the potential of each of us to recover and find freedom from the
suffering of addiction. We believe that the traditional Buddhist teachings, often
referred to as the Dharma, offer a powerful approach to healing from addiction
and living a life of true freedom.

We believe that recovery means empowerment, and we support each other as
partners walking the path together. We believe that recovery is rooted in finding
our own inner wisdom and individual journeys.

This program leads to recovery from addiction to substances like alcohol and
drugs and from process addictions like sex, gambling, pornography,
technology, codependence, work, shopping, eating, media, self-harm, lying,
stealing, and obsessive worrying. This is a path to freedom from any repetitive
and habitual behavior that causes suffering.

May you be happy.
May you be at ease.
May you be free from suffering.
May all beings be free from suffering.

Roanoke Recovery Dharma meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the Unity of
Roanoke Valley Annex. Our meetings include a 20-minute meditation.
