Heaven and Hell in a Handbasket

At the 11:00 am service on Sunday, May 16th, we will explore the wisdom of that great 13th-century Sufi mystic and poet, Shams-i Tabrīzī.

Shams, which means “the Sun” in Arabic, was Rumi’s spiritual teacher and guru. “Shams said that heaven and hell are both right here and right now, and we have the choice to go to either place in a handbasket,” Rev. Dr. Rick Belous notes.
