Spirit-Led Communication: Let Your Words Be a Path of Peace

During the Season for Nonviolence, we are invited to explore what nonviolence looks like in action. This Sunday, March 22nd, guest speaker Clarissa Rae introduces the principles of Nonviolent Communication, developed by Marshall Rosenberg and used worldwide in settings ranging from international diplomacy to families and workplaces.

Through practical guidance and stories of personal transformation, we’ll explore how to recognize feelings and needs – our own and others’, and how speaking and listening calmly from the heart can heal some of the most difficult relationships. You’ll leave with simple tools you can start using right away, even when the other person isn’t practicing these skills.

About Clarissa Rae

Clarissa Rae is a mystic and healer pursuing her calling to a vocation of ministry, holistic healing, and ritual and contemplative arts. She is currently enrolled in Unity’s ministerial path and is the manager of Unity of Roanoke Valley’s spiritual book and gift shop, Inner Journey. Clarissa’s practice and studies weave New Thought metaphysics together with sacramental Christianity, indigenous, pagan, and Eastern traditions, and embodied spiritual practice. Drawing on her experience as a master energyworker, bodyworker, somatic practitioner, and prayer chaplain, she creates transformative spaces where voice, movement, ritual, and intuition become pathways to healing and awakening. With an artistic, experiential, reverent, and integrative tone, Clarissa invites people into their own personal temple for direct encounter with the Divine and remembrance of who they really are.
