Buddhist scriptures tell the story of a man who spat in the Buddha’s face. At the August 23 Sunday service, Rev. Dr. Rick Belous will talk about what we can learn from how the Buddha handled this situation.
“In this year where we have seen a lot of anger, it is interesting to view how Buddha not only dealt with this angry man, but how he also responded to his angry monks. This incident happened about 500 years before Jesus was born, but it sounds like something from a modern news cycle,” Rev. Rick notes.
